ABOUT

The ORA 2.0 is an evolution of the original artwork ORA commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and prominently displayed at the 2020 Triennial. This iteration builds upon the conceptual foundation of its predecessor, which featured a striking 1.2-meter diameter illuminated wall eclipse. The ORA 2.0 is not merely an extension of the original piece but a reimagined creation that explores the boundaries of light as an artistic medium. It challenges the observer's perception by altering their sense of reality, making it an immersive experience. The subtle shifts in colour and light intensity evoke a sense of calmness and introspection, drawing viewers into a meditative state as they contemplate the relationship between light, colour, and space.
